CGO Ecology is currently working on the following projects:

• A338 Spur Road reptile translocation, near Bournemouth, Dorset. Capture of six reptile species from road verges, and their release at various receptor sites nearby. Some of the sand lizards are starting a new population in Ringwood Forest.

• Burnt Hill reptile translocation. Capture of reptiles, including smooth snakes, from a quarry site in Ringwood Forest.

• Avon Common sand lizard monitoring. Annual survey to monitor populations alongside quarrying operations.

• Make the Adder Count. Survey of six adder populations in southeast Dorset as part of the project coordinated by the Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust (ARC).

• NARRS. Survey of a one-kilometre square in the Bournemouth area, contributing to the national survey run by ARC aimed at assessing trends in the status of the UK's herpetofauna.

• School grounds survey. A reptile survey of habitats around Pool High School's playing fields.
