The Dorset Amphibian and Reptile Network (DARN) is a communication and action network set up to further the conservation of native amphibians and reptiles in the county of Dorset. Membership is by inclusion on an email circulation list, and the group is run by volunteers. Originally launched in 2004, DARN forms a focal point for sharing news about amphibians and reptiles in Dorset, and for contributing to surveys and conservation projects. There are also occasional social gatherings. DARN is one of a national network of county-based voluntary groups ('ARG UK'). The network is open to anyone who shares an interest in the conservation and appreciation of herpetofauna. To be added to the DARN email list, please contact DARN Chair Chris Gleed-Owen,
