CGO Ecology is running a one-day training course in reptile survey skills for professionals, at Avon Causeway Hotel and Sopley Common near Bournemouth, Dorset. Aimed at beginners and intermediates, the course will introduce the six native species, and develop your skills for finding them. The classroom and field sessions will cover identification, sexing, ecology, distribution, habitats, survey design, visual search, spotting skills, artificial refugia, detectability, capture, handling, biometrics, photography, recording, interpretation.
