Survey volunteers needed! |
Friday, 27 February 2009 00:00 |
| The Herpetological Conservation Trust is looking for volunteers to take part in its national amphibian and reptile surveys, and to help with rare species monitoring programmes. Anyone who can spare an hour or two occasionally, whenever they can fit it in, is welcome to join the NARRS surveys and monitoring schemes coordinated by the HCT. It’s already April and the adders and lizards have been out for ages, tadpoles are thronging, and newts are courting. So if you want to gain some valuable experience by surveying a 1km square near you, visit www.narrs.org.uk to sign up. Training events are taking place over the spring, and the training materials are all available online too. CGO Ecology is doing its bit: Chris is already onto his second NARRS square this year! |
