The UK's leading amphibian and reptile conservation charity. Formed by the 2009 merger of the HCT and Froglife. Advises statutory bodies, manages 80 nature reserves, coordinates national conservation programmes and monitoring schemes.

Britain's learned amphibian and reptile membership organisation. Publishes journals, bulletins and holds excellent meetings.
NARRS
National Amphibian and Reptile Recording Scheme. A focal point for national surveys of the widespread species, and monitoring programmes for the rare species. Excellent training courses offered free each spring. Volunteers survey a random 1km square near where they live, or monitor a pre-determined population.
