CGO Ecology Ltd always welcomes opportunities to work with new clients and new projects. Our portfolio spans a wide range of sectors and industries already, including housing, schools, road infrastructure, quarrying, sustainable energy, wildlife conservation, training and education.

Recently, we have added several more clients to our portfolio, delivering a range of projects for them across southern Britain. We have a track record of gaining repeat custom from our clients, so we look forward to working again with these new clients.

In April 2011, we performed a licensed reptile survey in the New Forest for the Bath-based consultancy Simecology Ltd. The project, associated with a residential development, involved a reptile capture and translocation, and negotiation with the Forestry Commission to secure a receptor site. Since then, we have assisted Simecology with another reptile survey in the New Forest, and a reptile translocation project in Abergavenny, South Wales.

In May, we were invited to provide a professional reptile training course for Dorset Wildlife Trust at Upton Heath SSSI. The course covered reptile ecology, identification, detection, survey techniques, habitat assessment, and conservation. Since then, we have assisted Dorset Wildlife Trust staff in setting up a reptile survey of Brownsea Island.

In June, we welcomed a commission from London-based Environmental Perspectives LLP. Part of water works site in Poole, Dorset, is being developed as a health facility. A licensed reptile survey was carried out, with particular reference to the site's proximity to Canford Heath SSSI (part of the Dorset Heaths SAC). Advice and mitigation is ongoing.

In July, we were commissioned by Bedfordshire consultancy Morgan & Stuckey, on behalf of Purnell Property Partnership, to assist with a site in Northeast Somerset. The former print works is undergoing development as 500 homes and mixed-use buildings. We carried out reptile surveys and provided mitigation advice. Translocations are ongoing.

We are currently in discussion with other new clients, and look forward to expanding our portfolio further in the near future.
