Noel is an experienced bat worker, with level 1 and 2 disturbance licences, and proficiency in surveys, handling, bat box installaton, soft demolition, and other mitigation. He is also a licensed surveyor of dormice and all six British reptile species, with a broad interest in other groups. He worked for CGO Ecology from 2014-2016. Prior to joining CGO Ecology, he spent eight years with Dorset Wildlife Trust, where he led surveys, managed reserves, and coordinated public and volunteer engagement projects. Before that, he worked in forestry, as well as stints in Denmark, Vietnam and Mauritius. At CGO Ecology, he was our senior bat ecologist and led our Field Team. During the autumn and winter months he managed our heathland restoration and other habitat work. He has qualified in tree-climbing and arboreal inspection for bat roosts and safety.
